I've noticed a weird habit I've been practicing as of late.... keeping my distance from meat. Not that I do it consciously, but I've just become disgusted by it.
The way it looks, smells, bubbles... its texture, taste... but most of all, I just can't get the picture of the animal I'm eating out of my mind! It makes me want to gag just thinking about eating it.
Then again, I've never been fond of beef, but chicken... I love chicken!!!
Another thing, I don't seem to have a problem with meat as long as it's not recognizable as meat, or some other flavor completely masks it. For example, I can eat a McDonald's hamburger (definitely can't taste any meat in those), or I can eat a chicken crispito.
I'm very disappointed about the fact that I can't enjoy some of my favorite foods anymore, but at the same time isn't this better??? I've always felt bad about eating meat, so why not just get rid of it altogether... a.ka.- become a vegetarian??? Well I'm going to have to think about it some more... McDonald's hamburgers are on the line!
